Welcome to River Grove Animal Hospital!
Your pet’s health deserves attention from professionals who genuinely care about their well-being. River Grove Animal Hospital has earned trust from families across the Greater Toronto Area since 2008. It offers medical excellence without a corporate feel. Dr. Mohinder Bangar, DMV, leads our Burlington animal hospital with hands-on experience spanning two decades and multiple continents.
We handle everything from puppy vaccines to complex surgeries. We keep a personal touch that helps nervous pets feel safe. You’ll find our team listens carefully to your concerns, explains procedures clearly, and treats every animal like they’re part of our own family.

Our Mission
We believe exceptional veterinary care starts with understanding what matters most to pet owners. At River Grove Animal Hospital, we build real connections with animals and their families. We create a place where honest communication grows. Our Burlington animal hospital focuses on clear treatment plans. We make sure you understand every part of your pet’s care before you decide.
We reject the rush-through mentality common in larger clinics, instead taking time to address your questions and concerns thoroughly. Quality care shouldn’t break the bank, which is why we work hard to keep our services affordable while maintaining the highest medical standards. Our goal is simple: help your pets live healthier, happier lives through compassionate veterinary services and ongoing support.
Our Veterinary Services
At River Grove Animal Hospital in Mississauga, we offer a wide range of veterinary services focused on preventive care, diagnostics, and treatment—all delivered with compassion, communication, and attention to your pet’s comfort.
Dental
That awful smell from your pet’s mouth warns of bacteria attacking their teeth and gums. Without proper care, these infections spread beyond the mouth to damage vital organs like the heart and liver. Our dental services stop this progression before it threatens your pet’s health.
During your visit, we check for loose teeth, inflamed gums, and other warning signs you might miss at home. Professional scaling eliminates the hardened tartar that brushing can’t reach, especially along the gum line where disease starts. You’ll leave with specific tools and techniques to maintain these results until your next appointment at our Burlington animal hospital.
Surgery
Your pet’s torn cruciate ligament won’t heal on its own, but surgery can restore its mobility completely. Some procedures prevent future problems – spaying eliminates the risk of life-threatening uterine infections later. Others address immediate concerns like removing bladder stones that cause painful urination.
Blood tests before any procedure reveal potential complications we need to address first. River Grove Animal Hospital checks heart rate, breathing, and temperature during every operation. This helps catch problems right away. Post-surgery instructions cover wound care and activity limits. We also schedule follow-ups to check healing at our Burlington animal hospital.
Medical Cases
Sudden vomiting episodes can signal anything from simple stomach upset to serious intestinal blockages. Seizures demand immediate attention to prevent brain damage, while blood in urine often indicates infections or bladder stones. These medical cases require quick diagnosis using blood work, ultrasounds, and other advanced testing methods.
Our Burlington animal hospital checks for breathing problems by examining the airways. We also check for fluid in the lungs. Persistent diarrhea gets traced to its source through fecal analysis and dietary reviews at River Grove Animal Hospital. We treat skin problems after we find out if allergies, parasites, or infections cause your pet’s discomfort.
Emergency Cases
Car accidents, poisoning, and severe allergic reactions don’t wait for convenient hours. When your pet faces a life-threatening situation after we’ve closed, immediate action saves lives. Emergency cases need special equipment and constant monitoring. Only special emergency facilities can provide this.
River Grove Animal Hospital works with seven emergency clinics across the Greater Toronto Area. They help with after-hours crises. These facilities include Mississauga Oakville Veterinary Emergency Hospital and Toronto Animal Health Partners. They make sure critical care stays available. Your pet gets the same family-centered care and personal attention. This applies whether you visit our main location or emergency Burlington animal hospital partners.
Vaccines
Parvovirus kills unvaccinated puppies within days, while rabies remains 100% fatal once symptoms appear. Core vaccines protect against these deadly diseases by teaching your pet’s immune system to recognize and fight specific pathogens. Without proper vaccination schedules, even indoor pets face serious health risks from viruses that spread through the air and contaminated surfaces.
Dogs need protection against distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, and rabies as essential core vaccines. Cats need shots for panleukopenia, calicivirus, rhinotracheitis, and rabies. These keep them healthy throughout their lives. Our Burlington animal hospital’s veterinarian may suggest extra vaccines. This depends on your pet’s lifestyle and risk factors at River Grove Animal Hospital.
Pet Wellness
Early detection through routine checkups catches diseases before they become expensive emergencies. Pet wellness visits include physical exams, vaccine updates, and parasite checks. These keep your companion healthy all year. Senior pets especially need regular checks. This helps with age-related problems like movement and vision changes.
Annual visits to our Burlington animal hospital cover microchipping and heartworm tests. These depend on your pet’s needs. We examine puppies and kittens starting at eight weeks to establish health baselines for their entire lives. River Grove Animal Hospital provides comprehensive wellness services that support your pet’s quality of life at every stage.
